17 Aug 2019 : Jack Hinnigan hopes to play a major part this season

Jack Hinnigan has an opportunity to establish himself at the Millbank Linnets Stadium after a cameo role last season.

And manager Michael Ellison reckons the central defender has all the qualities needed to do so.

The Linnets boss said: "Jack joined us midway through last season but unfortunately, due to personnel circumstances, was unable to commit.

"He's come back this year and he's been fantastic. He's a no nonsense, natural defender - good in the air, aggressive and has a god left foot.

"He's got all the attributes to be a top centre half.

"I'm looking forward to working with him this year."

Jack signed for the new season, having made his debut as a starter in our Integro League Cup victory at Hyde United at the beginning of December 2018.

This is his only competitive start for the club so far.

Jack joined Linnets after a spell with Warrington Town and has also played for Ashton Town in the North West Counties League.
