Runcorn Linnets Under 15s Yellow progressed to the final of the Cheshire County FA Junior Cup with a thrilling penalty shootout win over Sandbach United U15s. The hard-fought tie at The Millbank Linnets Stadium this afternoon had ended 2-2 after extra-time. More than 100 attended. The boys will now play Dukinfield Youth JFC Green who had already won their semi-final last week, defeating Egerton 4-0. Date and venue for the final have still to be announced. Meanwhile, Runcorn Linnets Ladies moved a step closer to successfully defending the Cheshire Women's League Challenge Cup with a 4-1 quarter-final win at Chester FC Women, coming from behind in the final third to storm to victory.
