11 Sep 2019 : Runcorn Linnets bring in Jordan Wynne from Trafford

Runcorn Linnets have signed attacking midfielder Jordan Wynne from Trafford.

The 21-year-old Liverpudlian only moved to Shawe View in the summer after two and a half seasons with Prescot Cables.

He is known for his all-action style and an eye for goal.

Jordan had spells in the Academy set-ups at Everton and Liverpool before finding his way to Wigan Athletic, where he stayed until the age of 15.

He later moved to AFC Fylde, impressing in the Youth ranks.

May 2016 saw Jordan score twice as Man of the Match to help the young Coasters to a 3-1 victory in the North West Youth Alliance Cup final at the expense of league leaders Chester Youth.

Jordan moved from AFC Fylde to Cables in November 2016 and during his time at Volair Park, his popularity on and off the field was plain to see.

Another important part of his player development followed in May 2017.

It was then that Jordan captained Knowsley Youth U19s in the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup in Texas, USA. He scored in the final, a 2-1 defeat by Liverpool Foundation College.

Jordan made 30 (+ six sub) appearances for Prescot last season, scoring half a dozen goals.

His goal to game ratio was good throughout his time with Cables. His netted 22 times in 92 (+18) Prescot career outings.

Jordan moves to The Millbank after making three appearances for Trafford.

Linnets boss Michael Ellison said:

"Jordan is a box to box midfielder with a eye for goal.

"He has a lot of games under his belt at this level for a player of such a young age.

"He will certainly give us legs and energy in the middle of the park and will be a great addition to the squad."
