Steve Foster

Position : -Forward

Veteran marksman Steve Foster is a legendary name in North West non-league football, having served an array of clubs and scored at a prolific rate throughout his career.

Linnets fans first came across his striking prowess in the early part of this century. An appearance for Hyde United in March 2002, for instance, saw him net a spectacular effort against Runcorn FC Halton at Widnes, beating keeper Mark Winstanley at the top corner with a stunning effort - from the right wing!

The player continued to prove a thorn in our side whenever we met and our supporters painfully remember the havoc he wreaked when we visited Radcliffe Borough in April 2006 and suffered an 8-1 defeat in one of the final games for our predecessor club.

Steve's former clubs also include, among others, Mossley, Warrington Town (he was at Cantilever Park when they defeated League Two's Exeter City in the FA Cup in November 2014) and AFC Telford United.

After making one pre-season appearance for the Linnets in 2016 in victory over St Helens Town at Prescot Steve signed for Runcorn from Ramsbottom United on Thursday, August 18th and, two days later, signalled his arrival by scoring a sublime debut goal against Runcorn Town at Pavilions.

Steve Foster is not available for sponsorship at this time.
