Louis Corrigan

Position : Defender

Well-travelled defender Louis made the left back berth his own after joining for the second half of our Hallmark Security League Premier Division title season.

His excellent work over 20 appearances in 2017-18 was highlighted by a couple of spectacular set-piece goals.

Renowned as a dead ball specialist, Louis arrived at the Millbank Linnets Stadium in January 2018 from Trafford, having joined them in pre-season, and he brought with him vast EVO-STIK League experience.

Louis had spent 2016-17 at Colwyn Bay after arriving from Skelmersdale. The now 27-year-old has enjoyed a couple of spells at both these clubs.

He had started out, however, as a 16-year-old at Tranmere in 2007, staying for two years.

An initial stint with Colwyn Bay ended in 2010 with a switch for Louis to Warrington Town.

In late 2011, he joined Skelmersdale United and was instrumental in their successful push for promotion to the EVO-STIK Premier Division.

In April 2014, Louis was recognised with a place in the NPL First Division North's 'Team of the Year' before heading to Australia to sign for Shepparton United.

Marine was his first stop on returning to England, prior to second spells at Skem and Colwyn Bay.

Runcorn Linnets would like to thank Paul & James Eastup who has kindly sponsored Louis Corrigan.
