Position : Midfield
The signing of 22-year-old Kristian Holt was confirmed on the eve of the Linnets' home league game against Atherton Collieries on September 23rd 2016.
The attacking midfieldman had left Alder House just over three weeks earlier after a two-season stint and having played a key role in Colls' emergence as a Hallmark Security League force to be reckoned with.
Kris had been influential in Atherton gaining promotion to the Premier Division of the North West Counties at the end of 2014-15 and their success last season as League Challenge Cup winners.
He had been one of Michael Clegg's first signings when the Colls manager took over at Alder House in the summer of 2014 and went on to be a pivotal performer, making 95 appearances and scoring 14 goals.
The move saw Kris team up with Clegg for a third time, having played for him at Pennington and then Atherton LR, for whom he netted 15 times in 2013-14.
After the first game of the 2017-18 season, Kris left Linnets to rejoin Atherton Colls in the Evo-Stik League, although we retained his Hallmark Security League registration.
With the Linnets in the grip of severe selectiion problems, he answered an SOS to play in our first round Buildbase FA Vase replay against Team Northumbria, scoring the opening goal in a 3-2 win at the MLS.
Kris again played a major part in the next round of the Vase, playing the final pass for Mark Houghton to score a dramatic last-gasp winner in a replay at Sunderland RCA and subsequently rejoined the squad on a permanent basis.
Runcorn Linnets would like to thank The Tea Bar who have kindly sponsored Kristian Holt.
