Kieran Nolan

Position : Midfield

Kieran was drafted into the Runcorn Linnets squad in January 2017 just a few days before his 20th birthday and soon after leaving Northwich Victoria, where he had been captain.

He had previously played for Ramsbotom United and Salford City and also appeared in 2015-16 for Alsager Town in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

The player was at Bolton Wanderers from 2013 before being released from the Under 18s squad in May 2015.

Kieran had been with Evo-Stik League Division One South club Vics for just over a year, his final appearance coming in the 2-0 Cheshire Senior Cup derby defeat at 1874 Northwch.

Arriving at Linnets as primarily a centre half, who could play anywhere across the back four, Kieran was converted by Michael Ellison into a holding midfield player and has been a big success in the pivotal position.

He has matured greatly as a player in his time with the club, proving an effective shield for the defence and his presence giving the more attack-minded midfield players chance to push forward in support of the strikers.

Forty appearances in our title campaign of 2017-18 pushed Kieran's Linnets career appearance total past the half century mark.

Runcorn Linnets would like to thank Tracy & Mark who have kindly sponsored Kieran Nolan.
