Jimmy Moore had an unforgettable first season at Runcorn Linnets - finishing it not only with a Hallmark Security League Premier Division title winners' medal but also the two principal first team playing awards for the campaign.
He lifted the Jimmy Lightfoot Trophy as Supporters Club Player of the Year as well as the Players PoY prize after performing outstandingly at the heart of the Linnets' defence.
Jimmy may have been a newcomer to Runcorn Linnets for the landmark 2017-18 season but he was no stranger to North West Counties League football.
He arrived at The Millbank as a 29-year-old, having first appeared in our league as a 17-year-old with Glossop North End.
Jimmy has also played in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division.
While at Trafford, he encountered a Manchester United Reserves team, featuring a very young Marcus Rashford, in a pre-season friendly. It only dawned on Jimmy at a later date - as Rashford rose to prominence - exactly who his promising opponent had been!
Jimmy's former clubs also include Cheadle Town and Atherton Collieries but he spent the majority of the 2016-17 campaign with Abbey Hey.
Manchester City fan Jimmy has during his career played in centre midfield and at right back but he is now most content in a central defensive role.
He is quick and combative and an excellent reader of the game, who is always alert to danger.
Jimmy left the Linnets in early September 2018 to return to Trafford, after making 47 appearances in the Yellow & Green.
Runcorn Linnets would like to thank Jenny Greenwood who has kindly sponsored Jimmy Moore.
