    Antony Hickey

    Position : Forward

Antony is one of the key players from the Linnets' 2015-16 runners-up squad in the North West Counties League Premier Division to stay with the club after, and despite, a very difficult close season at The Millbank.

Manager Michael Ellison was delighted by that news and so were the Runcorn fans, who appreciate the contribution Hickey has made in both his spells with the club.

Antony, who is equally effective playing out wide or attacking through the middle, won a Northern Premier League title with Skelmersdale United, finishing as one of their top scorers. He has never been short of goals with Runcorn either, and never fails to put in a good shift.

He had North West Counties Football League experience before arriving in Murdishaw, having played for St Helens Town and Bootle.

Antony stepped up into the NPL with Warrington Town in August 2011. His goals helped the Wire to secure their then highest-ever finish of 9th, under the guidance of Joey Dunn with whom he was later reunited at The MLS.

Antony originally arrived at Runcorn in July 2013 but returned to Warrington in June 2014, before rejoining the Linnets in September 2015.

Runcorn Linnets would like to thank Pete Wilde & Wally who has kindly sponsored Antony Hickey.
