Position : Defender
Andy was born in Wythenshawe and with the exception of a successful year playing football in Australia, his career has been based in and around his native Manchester.
He arrived at The Millbank Linnets Stadium in the summer of 2016 after four years at North West Counties League rivals, Maine Road with whom he won Premier Division and League Challenge Cup runners-up medals and made around 100 appearances.
Andy's spell Down Under saw him play in the South Australia Super League with Western Strikers, being awarded the Players' Player of the Year award.
The Manchester United fan began his career as a youth-team player at Altrincham and one of the abiding memories from his time at Moss Lane was reaching the first round of the FA Youth Cup, playing against Barnsley at Oakwell.
A former student of Manchester Metropolitan University, he now works as a PE teacher in secondary education. 30-years-old Andy brings much valuable experience to a young Linnets squad and will no doubt prove to be a big asset on the field and an important character in the dressing room.
