Adam Wade

Position : Midfield

Adam is a hard-working midfielder who rejoined Runcorn Linnets in 2012 for a second spell, having represented the club in 2010.

The qualities shown by Adam made him a regular in Joey Dunn's starting 11 and he played an important role during the club's League Challenge Cup Final victory over Formby in May 2013.

Adam unfortunately missed a lot of last season after being badly injured in the first warm-up game and his consistency was sorely missed.

But the player's welcome summer 2016 return to the squad was also particularly timely with midfield general Michael Ellison having hung up his boots at the end of 2015-16 season before unexpectedly taking over as manager at the MLS.

Having played alongside him, Ellison knows full well what an asset 'Wadey' is - and will be during this transitional period.

Earlier in his career, Adam played in the Northern Premier League with Warrington Town, Bamber Bridge and Skelmersdale United.

Runcorn Linnets would like to thank Arthur & Sheila Thompson who has kindly sponsored Adam Wade.
