Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are members of the EVO-STIK League (Northern Premier League). We joined for 2018-19 as Premier Division champions of the Hallmark Security League (North West Counties Football League).

We gained promotion to the EVO-STIK League West Division on our 12th Birthday (28th April 2018) by securing the minimum of a second place finish in the Hallmark Security League's top flight. We went on to finish four points clear.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity. We were awarded FA Charter Standard in October 2011.

Upcoming Season's Shirts Available for Pre-order

It's now possible to pre-order our great new shirts for collection on Sunday 28th July from the Clubhouse between 10am and 2pm via our Shirt Pre-order page.

Visit to Rylands is latest addition to warm-up schedule

RYLANDS are the fifth pre-season opponent to be confirmed for Runcorn Linnets.

We will visit the Hallmark Security League Division One South champions on Tuesday, July 30th.

The Warrington-based club are of course co-managed by Stuart Wellstead, who will now be back in the NWCL Premier Division which he won with the Linnets in 2017-18.

The already-arranged trip to Euxton Villa on Saturday, July 13 will see another reunion for Runcorn fans - with our all-time record appearances holder Matt Atherton, who is a coach at the Lancashire club.

We will meanwhile visit former North West Counties League colleagues Ashton Athletic on Saturday, July 27th and entertain old friends Witton Albion from the EVO-STIK Premier Division on Tuesday, August 6th.

EVO-STIK Premier Division play-off winners Warrington Town, narrowly beaten to a National League North berth by King's Lynn in a super play-off, will visit The Millbank Linnets Stadium on Saturday, August 10th.

Details of Supporters Club AGM

Runcorn Football Supporters Club's Annual General Meeting will be held at the War Memorial Club on Wednesday 24th July 2019, at 7.30pm.

Nominations for the Committee should reach the Secretary, Mrs S Bell, 18 Croasdale Drive, Beechwood, Runcorn, WA7 2RJ, by Wednesday 10th July 2019.

Pre-season visit to FC United of Manchester for Runcorn Linnets

The club has accepted an invitation from FC United of Manchester to play a pre-season friendly at their Broadhurst Park ground.

Scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd this will be the first meeting of the fans-owned clubs.

It will give our fans a chance to say fond farewells to 2018-19 Supporters Club Player of the Year Aaron Morris.

Aaron left Linnets last month to join FC United for their return to the EVO-STIK League Premier Division.
