Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity.

We currently play in the Hallmark Security Football League (North West Counties Football League), and were awarded Charter Standard in October 2011.

Cheshire Senior Cup tie reverts to original date

Our home county cup tie against Nantwich Town will now be played on Tuesday, January 10th - as originally planned.

The two clubs had agreed a switch to January 17th so Nantwich did not have to rearrange a scheduled Evostik League Cup fixture but as it is an FA competition, the Cheshire Senior Cup takes precedence.
