Welcome

Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are members of the EVO-STIK League (Northern Premier League). We joined for 2018-19 as Premier Division champions of the Hallmark Security League (North West Counties Football League).

We gained promotion to the EVO-STIK League West Division on our 12th Birthday (28th April 2018) by securing the minimum of a second place finish in the Hallmark Security League's top flight. We went on to finish four points clear.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity. We were awarded FA Charter Standard in October 2011.

A message from our commercial manager Rob Findlay

Greetings Linnets fans!

My name is Rob Findlay and I am delighted to have been appointed Commercial Manager for Runcorn Linnets Football Club, my Home town club and a club I have followed since a young boy!

I bring a wealth of business experience, having been a retail manager for 10 years and have spent the last eight years in my current full-time job working within the banking industry for one of the leading high street banks in the country.

It's an exciting time to be involved with the club and my aim is to support the chairman Mike Bignall and the Trust Board achieve their fantastic plans to develop the club.

Increasing our commercial reach and revenue will also help the management team of Michael Ellison and Matt Cross to accelerate their plans for progression on the field.

Recently you may have seen the news of our partnership with Jem Recycling Group. This came about through Lesley-Anne Hannon who some of you may know (as one of our supporters and volunteers).

She set up a meeting with her boss, Phil Robinson and I was able through Lesley-Anne's support, to help Phil understand the growth of Runcorn Linnets FC over recent years and also the desire and potential for further growth as we move forwards.

This is a great club with great potential. We have a lot to offer large and small businesses alike. Can you make a difference through your place of work like Lesley-Anne? Let me know!

I have launched a commercial twitter page, this has been a great success early doors - attracting new sponsorship and growing work with existing sponsors. I am building a Commercial Department piece by piece and I believe there are lots of opportunities within the town to develop the club even further.

Look out for more developments that will be announced soon.

If you would like to contact me about commercial opportunities, you can reach me on twitter via @CommercialRLFC or email Commercial@RuncornLinnetsFC.co.uk

I would love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Rob Findlay

April 30th deadline set for inclusion in our names on shirt scheme

The closing date for fans to have their name woven into our new home shirt is April 30th 2019.

This is your last chance to sign up before it's too late as no further names can be taken after the deadline.

Once it has passed, the design process will be completed and we will move on to the production stage.

Teaming up with our new kit suppliers 1895, we are giving supporters the chance to have their names incorporated within the new yellow and green hooped shirt.

You can have your name specially woven into one of the bottom two green hoops - so it features on the shirts worn by our first team  in seasons 2019-20 and 2020-21 and also the replicas.

It's first come, first served and the cost is £20 per name.

Any supporters taking up the offer will receive £5 off the cost of a replica shirt should they wish to purchase one.

If you are interested in adding your name to the shirt, please speak to Trust Board member, Daz Law at one of our remaining matches, or pay online.

Next Season's Training Gear Available for Purchase Online

Next season's Training Gear from our new Kit supplier 1895 is available for purchase via our Online Ordering Page. Orders can also be placed in the clubhouse on match days.

Beer festival drinks sponsorship now available

Sponsorship packages are now on offer for this year's main Runcorn Beer Festival, following on from the success of last year's inaugural event and the follow-up Christmas Festival.
