Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.
We are members of the BetVictor Northern Premier League and were placed in Division One North/West for 2019-20 after the league's Step 4 boundaries were changed. We gained promotion to the League for 2018-19 as Premier Division champions of the Hallmark Security League (North West Counties Football League) on our 12th Birthday (28th April 2018) by securing the minimum of a second place finish in the Hallmark Security League's top flight. We went on to finish four points clear.
We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity. We were awarded FA Charter Standard in October 2011.

25 Jan : Goalkeeping changes at Runcorn Linnets
Runcorn Linnets manager Michael Ellison has signed namesake Craig Ellison (pictured) from Congleton Town as replacement for goalkeeper Michael Emery.
25 Jan : Runcorn beat Ossett United 2-1
With a great touch from the edge of the 6 yard box in the 3rd minute Paul Shanley scored for the Linnets. In the 15th minute Ally Brown put us a further goal clear following a brilliant shot from close range. Jack Stockdill received a Yellow Card for Ossett United in the 21st minute. Elliott Harrison received a Yellow Card for Ossett United in the 39th minute. In the 51st minute the Linnets substituted Connor McCarthy for Ryan Gibson. In the 52nd minute Connor subbed with what looks like a knee injury. In the 54th minute Ossett United substituted Luke Porritt for Brodie Litchfield. In the 64th minute Ossett United substituted Aaron Haswell for Nick Guest. In the 65th minute the Linnets substituted Lewis McKinney for Louis Hayes. Brodie Litchfield received a Red Card for Ossett United in the 70th minute. James Knowles received a Yellow Card for Ossett United in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Ossett United substituted Tom Greaves for Corey Gregory. In the 77th minute the Linnets substituted Zac Aley for Yianni Nicolaou. Ossett United closed the gap in the 84th minute with a goal from Jack Stockdill.
20 Jan : Runcorn Foodbank grateful for Linnets support
The club has received a message of thanks from Runcorn & District Foodbank after our recent collection, which was a joint initiative between the senior and junior sections at Runcorn Linnets.
